Absolutely awesome book! I was so bummed to think that I have only read a couple of "over the top" books this year. Then I pulled this one of the shelf. It was so well written and had a dreamy magical quality about it. Loved the characters, the setting and the premise of the book. In this book there is more to the dream world than you think. The are those who dream and those who actually "go" into the dream world. Jonas Anderson and his brother Alan go there all the time. They meet and do fun and wonderful things in that world. Then tragedy hits and their life changes in ways they never would have thought of.
This book is highly recommended. I do want to note that at the back of the book it shows a soundtrack that you can find and listen to while reading. I wish I would've known this and that this info was at the front of the book. The soundtrack is cool and would've went perfectly with the book. Can't wait for book 2. Already buying the animated movie and the graphic novels!

A lot of people is saying its a really good book, but some other says that is garbaje and only Tom fans like it, I can tell that this is not really true, im a fan of Tom, but i promise to myself reading the book not as a fan, just as a Yong-Adult reader, and I really like it, has all the things that make a YA book, plus the new and incredible world of the Dreamscape. Its not just for Tom fans, its for YA books fans, its a fast, interesting and exiting story, with love, action and typical adolecense problems, with the typical YA stories about a boy that practically save the world, but that isnt bad, is the magic of YA books, make the YA people feel that someone like them can change te world, thats exiting, thats great!. But even beeing a YA book, I think is a bit more than that, it has some things that make it more serious, more real, more like the real life, the romance is real, not a child perfect love, the conversation are full of insults and "bad" words, that make it feel real, who dont use that type of words in real life?

I can only tell that it is a great YA book, not a masterpiece, but a perfect YA bestseller, reaching what Tom and Suzanne wanted, and more than what I spected, and then you can ad the music, comics, animations and make such a beautifull and incredible new world to explore, thanks to Tom, Suzanne, Ben Kull, Angels & Airwaves and all the To The Stars people.

You can say what yo want, but im prety sure, and i think im not wrong in this, that is an EXCELENT Young-Adult book for people between 15 and 18 years, better than all the famous best sellers of the gender, if you liked Harry Potter, Maze Runner, The Hunger Games, etc. You may love this book, for me a totally 10/10 Young Adult book, and not only as a book, but as a whole world and history, the characters are beautifull, the story great, the world totally inmersive, dont believe the crazy AvA or Blink fans, and dont believe the haters, believe the normal YA books readers, and try the book, i think you wouldn't be disappointed.

Again, 10/10 YA book, plus all the other Poet Anderson content make it a 15/10 young adult WORLD
When you hear the name Tom Delonge, the image of a naked guy running around might pop up into your mind. But in reality the man is a visionary, and this novel is the newest example of that. This novel follows the story of Poet, a lucid dreamer and his adventures in the dream world. If you are a fan of novels like Harry potter, enjoy futuristic novels, or are intrigued by dreams. Then this novel is for you. To accompany the novel Angels and Airwaves, Tom delonges band released a EP to fully envelop you into this story. Check that out and give it a listen as you read this book. I personally love adventure stories and fantasy and this is one of the best novels out there. Tom Delonge and Suzanne Young did a amazing job. Just remember to spread hope like fire fellow dreamers
This book is a wonderful read. I'll be honest. When I read I get headaches, I loose attention and I get bored, very easily. This book makes me want to read. Maybe because it's a teen read, I don't know. I can imagine each scene as if Tom was reading the book. Even though two wrote it together. The language, and situations all jump out at me. I honestly want to read this book at night before bed.
I just finished reading Tom Delonge’s “Poet Anderson…Of Nightmares” I could not put it down. I read it in two marathon reading sessions.
It hit me on many levels. I am a 71-year-old Vietnam Vet. As an Infantryman I loved the fight scenes. As a writer of YA Steam Punk fantasies myself, I loved the atmosphere in the Dream sequences. I could feel and taste the danger and darkness.
The train scenes brought me back to a movie I loved - Dreamscape. Any of you that have watched it as many times as I have will love the line from the movie “I’ve Been Busy!!!” That cracks me up every time I think of it.
The Anderson Brothers felt like a cross between “A Clockwork Orange” and the brothers in the TV show Supernatural yet they stand alone in my mind, and I can’t wait to read more.
This book wasn’t reading. It was watching a really cool movie. I do hope that happens as it is made for the screen.
If any of you have ever studied “The Tibetan Book of the Dead,” Yoga, or different forms of Meditation, then this book will resonate with you. If you haven’t then this story line will open you up to ancient studies that will blow your mind.

It is very rare to read such a gripping adventure that will open your mind to new and actually ancient subjects that flicker just outside your peripheral vision.
